Signature Services Guide

Personal Brand Development Package by CLUTCH Personal Branding 
$10,000

This package includes the full development and refinement of your authentic personal brand using our proprietary 5-Step Personal Brand Process and includes logo and identity development; digital, product, and print materials design; a brochure/portfolio website; social media headers; and profile support.

Our process is broken into three phases (all included): Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production, and includes project management, strategy, and content development throughout. Deliverables are listed below.

 

Phase 1: Pre-Production

  • Existing Personal Brand audit and recommendations for refinements to your existing digital personal brand footprint

  • 2-hour Vision & Brand/Design Assessment Session with Krista Clive-Smith

 

Phase 2: Production

  • Personal Brand Identity Package design and refinement, including;

    • custom logo (most often composed of an icon and a word mark combo) with unlimited revisions (3 call series)

    • signature color palette

    • font families

  • Brand style sheet/brand guidelines document

  • Personal Brand website splash page development and launch (temporary page while website is in development)

  • Three print material/stationery or merchandise designs (i.e., business cards, letterhead, notecard, stickers, apparel, drinkware), with 2 rounds of revisions included (additional designs can be created at an additional charge)

  • Digitized logo for embroidery

  • Custom social media header design (2 rounds of revisions included; additional designs can be created at an additional charge)

  • Strategy, layout, and design of your five page personal brand portfolio website (3 call series with 2 rounds of revisions included; extra revisions or extra web pages can be added at an additional charge)

  • Coding of the final, approved website design from InDesign into Wix

  • Final content development, copywriting, and proofreading of website content

 

Phase 3: Post-Production/Launch

  • Order of 150 personal brand business cards

  • Website optimisation including;

    • Search engine optimization (SEO)

    • keyword development

    • page indexing

    • meta descriptions

  • Tightening of social media profiles and settings; resizing of new header images to all social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn)

  • If applicable: cleaning/scrubbing of your existing mailing list

 

Please Note: Clients are required to provide their own website domain and email addresses after the initial 2-hour Vision Session call and prior to the commencement of the design component of the package. A minimum of 15 high-resolution photos of the client are also required within the first 3 weeks of the project, should you be scheduling a personal brand photo shoot to fulfill the photography requirement, our team would be delighted to schedule a 15-30 minute call with your chosen photographer to run through the ideal shot list and provide direction.

Personal Branding

This package process is broken into three phases (all included): Defining Your Brand, Positioning Your Brand, and Monetizing Your Brand, and includes project management, strategy, and content development throughout. Deliverables are listed below.

 

Phase 1: Defining Your Brand

  • Existing Personal Brand audit

  • Kolbe A Index (Conative Strengths) Assessment

  • 2-hour Vision & Platform Articulation Session with Krista Clive-Smith

  • Gallup StrengthsFinder assessment & integration coaching call with Kath Tucker

 

Phase 2: Positioning Your Brand

  • Ongoing 1-hour weekly strategy calls with Krista Clive-Smith to complete your Personal Brand Positioning framework document

  • Review & implement approved recommendations for refinements to your current digital personal brand footprint

  • LinkedIn profile refinement to reflect new strategy & positioning

 

Phase 3: Monetizing Your Brand

  • Ongoing 1-hour weekly strategy calls with Krista Clive-Smith to complete your Personal Brand Monetization Blueprint™ strategy document

  • Activation of your content pillars, and development of your unique hashtags and keywords to align with your new personal brand positioning and messaging

  • Choosing the initial vehicles to monetize your personal brand and develop your thought leadership (in alignment with your business, if you have one)

 

This is a 3-4 month project, and the payment terms follow the same rhythm with four equal payments of $2,500. The first $2,500 is due at contract signing, and the remaining balance is paid over 3 equal monthly payments. Accepted forms of payment are check, credit card, ACH bank payment, Venmo, Zelle, Wise, cash, or PayPal.

1:1 Personal Brand Coaching with Krista Clive-Smith
$225/hour

Krista's coaching helps time-starved CEOs and entrepreneurs who want to increase their credibility, have greater impact, and grow their revenues. Krista works with clients to "flip the model," launch their personal brand platforms, and write and publish books all while enhancing the valuation of their companies and helping them extricate themselves from the day-to-day operations of their business.

Book Blueprint Service with CLUTCH Writing

This is an intensive 2-week process that turns your idea for a book into a clear outline for you to begin your writing process. The process involves:

  • A 2-hour Plan My Book Session with one of our Developmental Editors

  • A detailed, written outline for your book, created by our writing team

  • 2 rounds of outline revisions

  • Tips and tricks to take forth into your writing journey

  • Access to Merack Publishing’s style guide cheat sheet using Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition

 

This service is for you if you would like to:

  • Develop your vision, hopes, and dreams for your book

  • Get clear on your main message, target audience, and call to actions

  • Create a logical, actionable outline for your book

  • Are planning to write your book independently

Writing Support

1:1 Writing Coaching Services with CLUTCH Writing
$175/hour

If you are currently working on a manuscript, our Writing Coaches can provide manuscript development coaching, accountability, brainstorming, and support. After each session, a written summary of your session and action items will be provided. Recordings are also available upon request. These sessions are $175 USD per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. They can be pre-booked on a desired rhythm, or delivered à la carte as needed.

 

Additional support outside of your face-to-face coaching sessions is also available for $100 USD per hour, billed in 15 minute increments. These services include:

  • Written developmental editing support in the manuscript

  • Research support to source additional articles, materials, references etc.

Copy Editing by CLUTCH Writing
Custom Quote

Our editing team can provide copy editing on a finished manuscript in preparation for publishing. This service includes review of the existing manuscript, with detailed, written "suggested" changes within the manuscript for you to approve or deny in Google docs.

A copy edit is an important step in the process of writing, editing and publishing a book. Copy edit occurs after a developmental edit, and prior to proofreading. The purpose of a copy edit is to “polish” the manuscript. Your editor will be looking to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in grammar, spelling, tone, style and syntax. Most publishers, including our own Merack Publishing, require manuscripts to go through a thorough copy edit prior to publication.  If you are interested in having your manuscript copy edited, please reach out to a member of our team for a custom quote.

Companion Workbook Development by CLUTCH Writing

Our team can develop a custom Companion Workbook for manuscripts currently in development, books that are just about to be published, or books that were published previously to support the reader with integration of your content. 

 

Creating a Companion Workbook to go alongside your signature book is a powerful way to reinvigorate sales, convert book sales into service sales, provide a bundled upsell option, or it can be used as a workshop and/or marketing tool. Ghostwriting Packages by KCS Family of Companies
Starting at $37,000

These are our "all-inclusive" packages, which include full ghostwriting and editing of one of our four different sizes of books as well as our Personal Brand Development Package ($10,000 value), and our Signature Publishing Package ($8,500 value). We offer four different packages dependent on book size:

The "Manifesto" package - 68 pages - 4.41" x 6.23" trim size - $37,000 USD

The "Instant Credibility" package - 88 pages - 5.5" x 8.5" trim size - $40,000 USD

The "Trusted Expert" package - 120 pages - 5.5" x 8.5" trim size - $50,000 USD

The "Thought Leader" package - 220 pages - 5.5" x 8.5" or 6" x 9" trim size - $60,000 USD

This package includes all of the deliverables from both our Personal Brand Development Package and our Publishing Package, as well as the complete planning, interviewing, ghostwriting, editing, and proofreading of your ghostwritten nonfiction book.

The process and deliverables for the ghostwriting component of this package are:

  • A 1-hour Vision & Strategy Session with Krista Clive-Smith

  • A 2-3 hour Book Blueprint Session with one of our Developmental Editors

  • Creation of a written outline and table of contents for your book (unlimited revisions)

  • Six 2-hour book interviews with your Ghostwriter (one per week for 6 weeks)

  • A completely ghostwritten manuscript written in YOUR unique voice (delivered in first draft, second draft, and final draft formats for revisions)

  • Detailed developmental and copyediting, with adherence to The Chicago Manual of Style (15th Edition), and Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (11th Edition)

During your initial Vision & Strategy Session, you can determine whether you'd like to start with the Personal Branding or the Plan My Book elements of your package first.

Please note: Manuscript page count is calculated in single-spaced, 12-pt. font size. The average total timeline from the Plan My Book Session to Book Launch is 8 months for the largest size book, though the total timeline may vary due to the author's speed and the timing of the reading and review process in between drafts.

Ghostwriting Services

Readers’ Panel by CLUTCH Writing
$499

This service includes the reading and review of your manuscript by five of our readers. The process and deliverables include:

  • Five anonymous readers in your targeted audience reading your full manuscript

  • Readers then provide written feedback on the title/subtitle, how the manuscript reads, their favorite areas and any parts they think could use a rework (specific questions can be added if you would like feedback on a particular area)

  • Our Team then compiles all of the feedback and provides a written report for the Author

  • A 1-hour follow up Zoom call with one of our writers to review the feedback

 

This service requires Authors to submit their manuscript in full. The timeline for this service is approximately 4 weeks, we recommend beginning this process a minimum of 6-weeks prior to your publishing deadline.

Publishing Package by Merack Publishing
$8,500

This package includes production, publishing, and upload of all versions (Paperback, Hardcover, and eBook) for worldwide distribution and sale through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Ingram, and other trade outlets. 

Our process is broken into three phases and includes project management and strategy throughout. Deliverables for each phase are listed below:

Phase 1: Pre-Production

  • Final, detailed proofreading of your completed manuscript

  • Development and refinement of your book title and subtitle

  • Custom, high-end front cover design

  • Custom, high-end spine and back cover design

  • A custom, sales focused synopsis for your back cover and retail listings

  • Ten unique endorsement templates to share with your network

 

Phase 2: Production

  • Custom interior layout with text treatments and image/graphic insertions

  • Custom spine calculation for all print formats and all distribution channels

  • Unique ISBN and barcodes for each format of the book

  • Title metadata set-up and management

  • Library of Congress Control Number and Copyright Registration

  • eBook conversion into formats for e-retailers including Kindle, Nook, Apple Books, and Kobo

  • Audiobook file quality assessment, management and upload (note: not including the actual recording and editing of audiobook)

  • Title setup on Amazon and Ingram for all formats

  • File preparation, both for e-publication and for print-on-demand

  • Assistance with determining best and final retail, wholesale, and group pricing for all formats

  • Set up of tax and royalty distribution channels for both Amazon and Ingram

  • Creation of Amazon Author Central Page

  • An author's proof copy of each format from each distributor

  • Custom design and order of a custom retractable banner to be used at book signings or for other marketing purposes

Phase 3: Launch

  • 25 paperback copies of your book delivered prior to launch

  • Print-On-Demand distribution live through Amazon and Ingram

  • ​Audiobook distribution through ACX to Amazon, Audible and iTunes

  • Publishing in Ingram’s catalog, the primary database that libraries, independent and chain books stores use to find and order new books

  • Creation of Amazon Author Central page

  • Selection and optimization of Amazon categories to best position the book and Amazon Bestseller ranking

  • Selection and optimization of BISAC codes and keywords 

  • Title data assigned to your ISBNs for all versions

  • Registration with both Library of Congress and the U.S. Copyright registration

  • Submission at year's end to International Book Awards

  • Print cost and author compensation summary sheet by format and distribution channel

  • Set up of tax and royalty distribution channels for both Amazon and Ingram

  • All accounts handed over to author

  • Ongoing project and file management for the first 12 months post launch (ongoing support and file management available upon request)

 

Please note: Prior to accepting manuscripts for publishing, Merack Publishing will complete a Manuscript Review process. Our publishing process requires a minimum of 3 months from the date the final manuscript is signed off as "locked" and complete. Official book launch dates will be scheduled at this time, to occur after that 3-month time period.

This service does not include studio recording or editing of your audiobook. Recording and post-production/editing costs will be determined by your chosen recording studio and is typically based on the word count of your final manuscript.
